Rice Meal Blessing Bag Pack
Feeding the Hungry
Saturday, August 29, 2026 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm
On Saturday, August 29th, we will once again host a Rice Meal Pack to feed the hungry. In addition to members of Hanover UMC filling bags, members from North United Methodist Church, Trinity United Methodist Church, and students from Southwestern High School and Hanover College have participated. Anyone is welcome to volunteer to help fill the bags.
Last year, we filled 1,200 bags in one hour and 45 minutes. This fed 7,200 people
We partner with Midwest Mission for this project. We buy the materials from Midwest Mission which brings the supplies and materials and will ship the blessing bags to locations both in the United States and across the world. To learn more about Midwest Mission go to https://www.midwestmission.org/

These Rice and Soy Blessing Bags not only meet hunger needs, but meet nutritional needs to provide lasting energy.
